Social media is a powerful tool that your church can use to reach people inside and outside of your congregation. Whether it be Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Snapchat, each platform can be incredibly useful for touching lives and promoting your ministry.

For most churches that I talk to, it’s not a lack of desire that keeps them from regularly posting on their social pages, but a lack of content. Have you ever been confused or frustrated about what to post on your church’s social pages? It definitely can be overwhelming to come up with new ideas every week, right?

Solid, Kendall. I’ve found that my church loves when we post anything with people (we ARE the church, huh!?), the Worship Band, or solid sermon points/quotes.

This reminds me to schedule up more, with the variety of ideas you’ve shared here.

  • Roshelle says:

We have begun to do small profiles on some of our faithful volunteers on Facebook and Instagram and it is good to see how the congregation is uplifting and encouraging the people we are profiling by affirming how helpful they are or how they always have a smile…etc.

    • Rochenda says:

I love this idea, Roschelle! We, as people, as humans, love to be uplifted whether we proclaim it publicly or wish for it silently. I am a strong believer of encouragement for I may be the only person that says Good morning beautiful to someone who may be having a day of doubt for life and those 3 words causes them to look in the mirror. I absolutely love this idea!!! Thank youb

Social networking has so many wonderful uses! Respectable churches should take care to control their online presence and activity. The best churches, like https://lhhouston.church/, don’t have sermons and podcasts available online, right? They are communicating with their church members and contacting more individuals than ever before utilizing technology, and I have to admit, they are doing an outstanding job of it!
