One of my favorite parts of creative ministry is participating in social media. I have had great success in using Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to fulfill three major communication goals for my church, Piedmont Chapel:
• Create positive brand recognition with outsiders (marketing)
• Create buzz, inform, and enrich the lives of attendees (communication)
• Spread positive messages of faith, hope, and love to the world (evangelism)
One of the best methods that I’ve found to accomplish these goals is to post catchy, yet meaningful text images. Our church family loves these images and, even better, loves to share them whenever we post them.
We realize that not every church has graphic designers like we do, so our creative team at Piedmont Chapel put together a pack of our 30 favorite social images just for you to use!
Feel free to post these on any of your social pages as you see fit. We like to include our church’s logo on the bottom of ours, so don’t hesitate to do the same. You can see how we use them on our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages.
Here are few examples of the images included in this pack:
We hope that your church will find these useful as you’re ministering to your community. Share this resource with as many pastors and ministry leaders as you can!Download 30 Free Social Media Images

Kendell, Thank you so much for offering these images for free to others. I follow you guys and sometimes use your ideas for these kind of social media posts. Have you offer them so we can put our own church branding on them. This is a huge time saver for me. I love that you have a Kingdom mindset. Thank you for doing this!!
Glad to be a blessing, Juan! #ONEchurch
Likewise, Kendall! I’ve been blessed by Piedmont’s social ideas. They’ve been incredible helpful (and effective!) as a lead volunteer managing all social channels for Granger Community Church. You guys are rocking it, keep up the fantastic work and thank you many times over!
Absolutely agree! Thanks so much!
Thanks for sharing! Blessings!
You rock, Kendall!
Love love love this, thanks so much for sharing!
This is great! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much! great help.
Thanks Kendall for these. Our church loves these graphics when I have the time to create them. As a sole volunteer it’s hard to keep on coming up with material. I’m currently trying to get another person to join me and would appreciate people’s thoughts on how best to train them in social media content design for the church.
These types of posts are some of the least effective for our church. I have recently turned over the Instagram duties to my wife, and we have had better-than-ever engagement focusing on the people and culture at The Creek. I’d guess that we have an increase of 30-40% engagement switching from text over nature posts to people-focused posts.
It definitely varies place to place based on the culture of the community. We’ve just started doing a rotation of word posts and photos from Sundays. That’s what is working best for our church right now.
Kendall – This is phenomenal! Thanks for this great resource. I recently reached out to Lightstock.com asking them to consider coming up with a subscription-worthy option for people like me (love great design, but don’t have enough time to do it all myself) to create “social images” that are ready-made for us to add our church logo to. They do something similar for free, but they include their lighstock.com logo. I’d love to have an option to add my own!
Not a bad idea!
Just wow! I can’t tell you what a HUGE blessing this is! THANK YOU!!!!!!!
My thanks also. Like many I am the volunteer that handles the social media for our church. I am always looking for ways to get it and keep it active, but meaningful. These images work wonderfully for that. Thank you so much for sharing your gift.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! You are my hero, Kendall!
Thank you very much for these. Is it possible in the future to use a variety of people. (i.e. white, mexican, black, asian… ect.)
The struggle is real when it comes to finding diverse stock photos! I’m doing my best.
